I am a lifelong resident of Canal Winchester. I have witnessed it transform from a quaint, small town into a rapidly growing city. I want to preserve what we have here, continue to improve our infrastructure and bring in development that gives us a balance between tax revenue and limited community disruption. Through rational and methodical decision making, I intend on protecting our community and prioritizing the well being of all residents. My goal is to ensure our continual growth provides economic and cultural sustainability. Leading us into the future while preserving the past.

Alec McLaughlin is a father, husband and a lifelong Canal Winchester resident. He graduated from Canal Winchester High School in 2012. After high school he served in the Ohio Army National Guard. Alec attended and graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Political Science. He currently works for Westlake Financial.
